Shule Bora Primary School welcomed the Dar es Salaam Regional Commissioner to officially open our brand-new, state-of-the-art computer laboratory.

Shule Bora Primary School reached a significant milestone last week with the official opening of our brand-new, state-of-the-art computer laboratory. The ribbon-cutting ceremony was graced by the Dar es Salaam Regional Commissioner, who commended the school's management, parents, and sponsors for investing in digital education infrastructure. The new facility, which accommodates 40 students at a time, is equipped with the latest desktop computers, high-speed internet access, and interactive learning software tailored for primary school learners.

The computer lab project, which took 18 months to complete, was made possible through a combination of school fees, generous donations from parent sponsors, and a grant from the British Council Tanzania's Digital Education Initiative. Mwalimu Peter Nkosi Mdemu, the school's ICT teacher, expressed great excitement about the new facility: "This lab will transform how our students engage with technology. We will be introducing structured coding lessons for Standards 4–7 this term, and the younger classes will use educational software to reinforce mathematics and English."

The Regional Commissioner, in his address, urged other schools in the region to follow Shule Bora's example in prioritising digital literacy. "The world our children are entering is digital. Schools that equip their students with these skills today are giving them a competitive advantage for tomorrow," he said. The school extends its heartfelt thanks to all donors, parents, and staff members who made this project a reality.
